Basket and Kit Donations providing social services with integrity and ethical stewardship

Basket/Kit Donations:  We have various baskets and kits set up for each of our programs to meet specific needs of our clients.  This includes things like books and puzzles for our afterschool programs, to hygiene and cooking kits for our Fairweather clients.  Donors can purchase the items, or designate the kit to purchase and donate the money directly to Family Endeavors.

Fairweather Family Lodge:  Housing, Training, and Support program for Homeless Mom’s and their children.  These mom’s come to us from the street or other shelters and rarely have more than what they are wearing.

• Backpack Kits with school supplies for Elementary students: Approximately $35 each.  This provides a ready backpack and school supplies to the kids that move in with their mom’s throughout the school year. We need about 35 per year.

Fairweather Lodge:  We have several homes in the San Antonio area where we support adults with persistent mental illness such as schizophrenia, depression, bi-polar disorder, and similar types of mental illness that are often very difficult to manage alone.

Personal Hygiene Baskets: Approximately $35-$45 each.  Many of our residents come directly from the streets, hospitals, or other shelters.  We anticipate needing 30 Baskets for women this year, and 30 baskets for men.

After School & Summer Camp Programs:  San Antonio Urban Ministries provides afterschool programs to over 1,700 elementary age kids all over San Antonio every school day of the year.  We also provide summer camps for close to 250 kids each summer.  We operate close to 30 sites for kids ages 5-12.
